Eli - Violin
Born in Riga, grew up in Jerusalem, studied in Tel Aviv and now lives, teaches violin and creates music in Berlin. Eli plays the violin since he was 5 years old. In the last 10 years his musical interests shifted from performing European classical music to east-European Jewish, Gypsy and folk music and improvisation. Following the move to Berlin, Eli rediscovered his Jewish identity and focused on Klezmer violin. Being the only 'proper' Jew in the band, Eli jokes freely about using his banking and world domination abilities for the good of the band. As an enthusiastic middle-eastern cuisine cook, Eli believes whole-heartedly in the old culinary advice 'only in Garlic there is enough garlic'.
